MG-60 is a natural carbohydrate syrup that imparts a smooth texture and long-lasting foam to personal care products.  A glycerin alternative, it can protect skin against irritation, making it beneficial for products formulated for sensitive skin.  MG-60 provides texture, resulting in a fine and rich lather for cleansing products and a luxuriant feel in hair care products.  MG-60 is of natural origin, produced from starch through enzymatic reactions.

Maltooligosyl glucoside is formed by linking one or several glucose units to trehalose with α-1,4 linkages. It also includes hydrogenated starch hydrolysate normally found in hydrogenated starch syrup.
