New York, NY – March 29, 2016 – NAGASE will showcase its broad portfolio of high performance, quality materials at the upcoming American Coatings Show (booth #2770), held in Indianapolis from April 12-14. NAGASE’s portfolio includes resins, crosslinkers, matting and tactile agents, adhesion promoters, pigments, and UV/EB curable materials.
“As the leading specialty chemical supplier in Japan, we bring a broad and diverse portfolio of materials along with technical expertise to help customers overcome their most demanding challenges,” said JP Masson, senior sales and marketing manager at NAGASE. “From solutions for low-VOC coatings to additives for unique tactile experiences, NAGASE helps customers develop the next-generation of coatings.”
Waterborne crosslinkers for low-VOC coatings: NAGASE’s waterborne crosslinkers help formulators meet low-VOC requirements while offering high performance. The DENACOL® line of epoxy crosslinkers is available in grades with varying degrees of water solubility and hydroxyl functionality. The line of oxazoline functional polymers, available in either water soluble or emulsion types, reacts readily with carboxyl groups and leaves behind few reactive byproducts.
Urethane microparticles for soft-feel coatings: These crosslinked, polyurethane microparticles offer a softer touch and better gloss control than acrylic/styrenic microparticles.
Self-healing oligomer for smart coatings: This UV-curable oligomer has scratch recovery properties and features low shrinkage after UV curing. Scratches on cured coatings disappear within seconds.
“With technical expertise, industry knowledge, and a broad portfolio of high performance materials, NAGASE partners with customers to develop on-trend coatings that meet regulatory requirements,” said JP.
